mooncakes. foiled again.
Since arriving in Hong Kong, I’ve seen ads everywhere for mooncakes. I knew they were something associated with the mid-autumn festival, but couldn’t figure out what they were…. Well, now that the festival is over, mooncakes are cheap and plentiful…. And turns out they are the fruitcake of China! I’ve got a whole box of them sitting in my room and I can’t GIVE the things away! Jeez. So if anyone feels like snacking on a little cake full of lotus paste and preserved egg yolk, just let me know. Ugh.
